About Us
Our History
Burlington Christian Academy is located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

Burlington Christian Academy is located in Burlington, Ontario, and has been partnering with families in Christian education since 1975. What began at Park Avenue Church in the Aldershot community with just three teachers and twelve students grew out of the vision of Mary Sifft and Pastor Sifft, who desired Christ-centred learning for young people.
As the school community grew, Burlington Christian Academy relocated in 1989 to Park Bible Church (now Compass Point Bible Church) and, in 2000, became an independent organization. In September 2001, students, staff, and families celebrated the opening of our current 25,000-square-foot facility on the western edge of Burlington.
Today, Burlington Christian Academy serves students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 and is recognized as a leading Christian elementary school in the region. While we deliver the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum, our approach to education goes beyond academics. Every aspect of school life is shaped by a commitment to Christ, encouraging students to grow in faith, character, and purpose.
At Burlington Christian Academy, learning is engaging, meaningful, and rooted in a Biblical worldview. We seek to inspire each student to discover their God-given gifts, pursue excellence, and develop a lifelong relationship with Christ.
We are a unique school in our program offerings; there is no school like Burlington Christian Academy! Aside from the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum guidelines), we offer special programs including Advanced Level Programming of Athletics (ALPA), EdVenture, Curtain Call, and Junior Programming, that add to the quality and excitement of a student’s learning experience.
Burlington Christian Academy is owned and operated by a parent-sponsored Board of Directors and serves students as an inter-denominational missional school welcoming families from all backgrounds.
Burlington Christian Academy students represent 19 different Christian denominations and 23 churches from the greater Burlington area. Burlington Christian Academy follows the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum and is a proud member of the Edvance Christian Schools Association.

We are grateful for the staff and families who dedicate themselves to Christian education at Burlington Christian Academy. We praise God for His faithfulness and pray that, together, we will continue to honour Him through our educational endeavours.

Statement of Faith
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God.
(II Timothy 3:15; II Peter 1:21) - We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30) - We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9), His resurrection (John 11:25; I Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).
- We believe in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the sinfulness of human nature, and that persons are justified by grace through faith alone in the atoning blood of Christ.
(John 3:16-21; John 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5) - We believe in the resurrection of the saved unto eternal life, and of the lost unto judgement.
(John 5:28-29) - We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Galations 3:26-28) - We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 8:13-14; I Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18)
What Our Parents Are Saying
At BCA, we have witnessed outstanding dedication from the teachers, admin staff, PTA, and parents. The small class and school size mean all the teachers know my kids, and our family has become a part of a closely-knit community. The teachers and staff went above and beyond to help my son learn to love school and thrive, and our daughter has made life-long connections with her friends. Our only regret is not having discovered BCA sooner!
We chose this school because we wanted to be a part of a community of parents with a shared focus on both biblical values and exemplary education. BCA has not disappointed! We have found small class sizes, attentive teachers and a beautiful facility among the many things that make BCA such a special place. Staff and parents alike have welcomed us and made the transition for our 4 year old to full-time school as seamless as possible.
Our children appreciate so much about their experience at BCA - the caring attentiveness of each of their teachers, the smaller class sizes, the specialized, hands-on learning in the senior programs, and the holistic approach to their academic pursuits that includes reflection on issues of life and faith.
The feel is often less like a school and more like family. You can sense that people take care of each other and that everyone feels like they are a part of a larger community, all striving for the same goal.
