Programs & Athletics

At Burlington Christian Academy, students engage in a well-rounded, Ministry-approved curriculum that nurtures academic excellence while integrating faith and character development.

Christ-centered education

Strong academic standards

Caring teachers

Small class sizes

Grades JK - 8

At Burlington Christian Academy, our teachers spend time learning about each of their students. By understanding the unique learning abilities of each student, our teachers can teach and connect with each student individually. We know each student learns differently. It is important for us to have students who can’t wait to come to school. A child who wants to be at school is ready to learn!

  • Subjects

Our students learn the basics of math and language arts, as well as science, Bible, computers, art, music, and physical education. These subject areas provide students with a well-rounded education designed to promote the essential components of child development.

The language arts curriculum balances literature, writing and phonics and teaches our students to enjoy reading. Our math curriculum focuses on the mastery of math skills, understanding of important concepts, and the integration of problem-solving.

In addition to our amazing classroom work, we introduce the students to hands-on learning experiences. We believe that “Learning by Doing” exposes students to experiences that will captivate their minds and help them find something to be passionate about, with a lasting impact.

"The strong partnership between the school and parents creates a vibrant, welcoming environment that makes BCA feel like family. I couldn't be more grateful to see my children thriving in the same halls that positively shaped my own future." Burlington Christian Academy, Parent

The SOTA program at Burlington Christian Academy offers private, half-hour music lessons during the school day for students of all levels, from beginners to those preparing for Royal Conservatory examinations. Experienced and enthusiastic instructors provide high-quality instruction, regular feedback, and performance opportunities, culminating in a final recital each June.

This program combines excellence in music education with the convenience of lessons during the school day, helping students develop confidence, nurture their talents, and experience the value of music in their lives

"The school has SOTA where the kids learn to play a musical instrument of their choice. Children also get involved in other extracurricular activities and compete with other schools at games and events. The kids also get to go on trips into the community, this has helped my child associate the school with pleasurable experiences." Grace Jolaoso

Student Support Services

At Burlington Christian Academy, we recognize that every student learns differently and has unique strengths. To help each child thrive academically, socially, and spiritually, we offer a range of specialized support programs tailored to meet individual learning needs, including IEP development and the use of resource teachers and educational assistants. We also offer educational therapy following the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD). The NILD Program is a fee-based, individualized educational therapy program that strengthens learning skills and builds confidence. Grounded in a Christ-centred approach, students develop strategies to enhance reading, writing, and overall learning, with support from a trained therapist and active parental involvement.

What Our Parents Are Saying

BCA has a diverse mix of programs to keep any child interested. Our eldest was in ALPA (Sport Leadership) and our youngest is now in EdVenture - both perfectly suited to their personalities.

We love the senior programs and how our son feels about himself and what he has learned each day.

An excellent educational institution! A very welcoming school with low class sizes, great teachers and the special programs are unrivaled. We love this school!

BCA supports children through their unique areas of strength and develops academic materials that reflect their interests and motivations. Teaching methods are designed to engage all students and also adapted to help kids with learning challenges to be heard and validated.

BCA has a rigorous but engaging curriculum. Given that my children have attended two other similar schools prior, it appears that BCA is ahead in some critical areas.

My son's self esteem has soared since joining BCA. He is finding success, and loves the hands-on learning. His favorite part about the school is the Special Programming for grades 6-8. He is in Edventure. A program that offers hands on learning in all subject areas that reinforces what they are learning in the classroom.

We have found the academic program at BCA to be appropriately challenging for our children. Each of them are enjoying their learning and come home regularly with new learnings and questions for us to discuss at home.

The specialized senior program provide highly valuable hands-on learning that have our Grade 7 students more engaged than ever. He puts a large amount of work into has presentations and projects without being hounded by us because he honestly enjoys them and is inspired and encouraged by his teacher in those tasks.
