Emily Lazzaro

Grade 6

Homeroom Emily is excited to be returning to  Burlington Christian Academy as the grade 6 homeroom, Bible and Language Arts, and grade 8 Language Arts teacher this year! She is entering her fifth year of teaching , and third at Burlington Christian Academy, after working in the resource department and as a rotary teacher the last two years. Emily has a B.Sc. in biology and B. Ed. from York University, and strives to be a life long learner-sometimes that means attending professional development opportunities, and sometimes that looks like diving into scripture with her church small group or trying to learn new skills like gardening over the summer. She is also excited to continue working with Burlington Christian Academy’s student newspaper team on their publication of The Bobcat Bugle. When she’s not at school, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to audio books, and working with her tutoring students.
