John Lewis

I am thrilled and beyond grateful to join the BCA team as the new K-8 French teacher. I have 6 years of experience teaching French to students in grades 3-12. As a native French speaker born to two French-speaking parents, I completed my elementary education in full French here in Ontario, and I am currently completing a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in French at Toronto Metropolitan University. I believe and have seen firsthand that French can be both fun and transformative, and I eagerly anticipate sharing vibrant Francophone culture with BCA students and the community through not only engagement and joyfulness but most importantly, lessons that spark a love for the language. I was raised in a Christian household and currently attend Church on the Queensway. My commitment is not just to being a Christian, but to walking daily as a disciple of Christ. Outside of my deep passion for teaching and learning, I often dedicate time to deepening my craft in boxing, consistent yoga practices, and an absurd amount of chess.
