Monique is delighted to be part of the BCA community as the Grade 6 homeroom teacher and English teacher for Grades 6, 7, and 8. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
Before joining BCA in 2025 she taught high school English, Arts & Culture, and Life Orientation in South Africa, where she also served as Head of the Music Department. She later moved into e-learning and worked as Manager of Training and Development for a global company. She recently completed the Beautiful Work course through Christian Schools International, deepening her practice of teaching from a biblical worldview.
Monique has a deep love for children and is a mom to two young daughters. She creates a warm, structured classroom where students feel known, challenged, and encouraged to grow in both skill and character. Drawing on her background in literature, the arts, and music, she helps middle-schoolers discover the power of language, story, and creative expression while pointing them to God’s truth. She is committed to a classroom that is academically rigorous, relationally safe, and richly faith-filled.
Monique and her family attend Glad Tidings Church in Burlington. She grew up in a pastor’s home and served for many years in worship and media ministry. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, camping, water skiing, cooking, music, reading, and photography.
