Shannon has her Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University) and a Graduate Diploma of Teaching from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She holds Special Education and Guidance Specialist qualifications, as well as additional qualifications in Teaching Students with Communication Needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder), Intermediate Business, Grade 7 & 8 Language, and is an Ontario College of Teachers certified principal. She is also an active member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Waterdown.

Shannon joined BCA in 2013. She values lifelong learning and enjoys encouraging staff to grow in their abilities as well as in their faith. She trusts God as He guides her in leading BCA and takes joy in supporting her school community while fostering a love of learning in both students and staff.

Shannon enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and canoeing in the summer, as well as reading and spending quality time with her family.
