Shannon is very excited to be part of BCA this year! She holds an Honours BA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a B.Ed. from Nipissing University/Schulich School of Education. Shannon has spent most of her teaching career in Grade 3 and is excited to begin a new role as the Physical Education teacher for Grades 1–6.
Shannon has a passion for sports, games, and coaching. Through Physical Education, she hopes to develop not only skilled athletes, but well-rounded individuals who are encouraged to reach their full God-given potential. Her goal is to help students understand what it means to reflect Christ both on and off the court, using their gifts and abilities in ways that honour Him.
In addition to teaching, Shannon enjoys serving in kids and young adults ministry at her church. She has also had the opportunity to teach in Italy, England, and Australia, which reignited her love for travel. She loves going to the gym/playing sports, studying the Bible, and travelling with her husband.
